A pioneering prescribing pharmacist and exemplar of the Healthy Living Pharmacy concept.

Ade is the multi-award-winning Superintendent Pharmacist at Bedminster Pharmacy in South Bristol. He has extensive expertise in health service design, governance, and research.

He graduated from the University of Portsmouth in 2002, where he led the International Fellowship of Christian Students group.

Today he serves on the General Pharmaceutical Council; is the Independent Non-Executive Chair for Quality and Outcomes at the Bath, North-East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire Integrated Care Board; as is a Non-Executive Director at the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

Ade is part of numerous multidisciplinary collaborations in research and pathway formulation. This work spans mental health, continence care, earlier cancer diagnosis, migraine, joint pain management and other areas. He is a Trustee of the Self Care Forum and a Public Health Vaccine Hero, advocating for better vaccination uptake and access.

His accolades include the Parliamentary Award for Excellence in Primary Care and the Royal Pharmaceutical Society's Charter Award. The Faculty of Public Health, part of the three UK Royal Colleges of Physicians, awarded him Honorary Membership by Distinction. He has also received Fellowships from the Royal Society of Arts and the Royal Society for Public Health.

Recognised by the Health Service Journal as an individual whose ideas should influence and shape the future direction of the NHS, Ade actively participates in many national and international working groups focused on developing policies to improve health equity and outcomes. The World Health Organisation and The Lancet have highlighted the importance of his work, respectively, in preventing antimicrobial resistance and delivering population health equity.

He was featured by the acclaimed photographer Rankin for his role in the UK's NHS COVID-19 response and also received an MBE in 2022 for his contributions to the NHS, particularly during the pandemic.
